If the Senate convicts CJ Corona for not declaring his dollar accounts, then we must impeach the very person who started all this impeachment brouhaha - PNoy.

If the Senate convicts CJ Corona, it would send a wrong precedent in our history, for then, we shall allow the president to use the machinery of the government to harass, impeach and control the Philippine Judiciary.

If the Senate convicts CJ Corona, another Chief Justice will be appointed. A CJ loyal to PNoy and thereafter a Supreme Court controlled by him. By that time, all cases against the Cojuancos will be reversed including that of Hacienda Luisita, Coco Levy funds, Sumilao farmers and etc.

If the Senate convicts CJ Corona, history will repeat itself. Public opinion during Erap's time is for conviction. Years after he was ousted from Malacanang, people realized the move was wrong. Recent Presidential elections is a proof how much Erap is truly loved and trusted by the Filipino people. Now, Senate will undoubtedly be persuaded by what they call us public opinion - public opinion that they think is represented by few mobs on the streets or by a minute number of respondents on biased surveys.
Once a new CJ is appointed, people will realized the move was wrong but there is no way we can show how CJ Corona is truly loved and trusted by the people.
